Fund Raising
This combined (TXAFCC and TXMVOCC) tournament is free to Texas Veterans and Service Members. It is funded solely through generous donations to the Texas Chess Association (TCA), a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations to TCA are fully tax deductible for the individual donors.
We are pleased to report $1,902 was received from our generous donors. All our needs for a great tournament are covered. However, we are also organizing the 2018 Texas Armed Forces Chess Championship. We welcome tax deductible donations for that.
We now have 21 Advance Entries and two other players expressed an interest. The player numbers record is 20 (set in 1994). Please help pass the word to chess playing Texas veterans and those currently serving.
