      Fund Raising

This combined (TXAFCC and TXMVOCC) tournament is free to Texas Veterans and Service Members.  It is funded solely through generous donations to the Texas Chess Association (TCA), a 501(c)(3) organization.  All donations to TCA are fully tax deductible for the individual doners.

The REVISED budget for this event is $1,400 (covers all but player travel and meals).  It was reduced from $1,600 because the two TD's live near the playing site.  All agree a hotel room for them is unnecessary.  As of this writing, $1,034.27 (73.9 percent) has been raised.  We can use tax deductible donations of $50, $20, $10, or whatever the donor's generosity will allow.

Please make out all checks to TCA Treasurer and put Texas Armed Forces Chess in the memo line.  Mail to:

      TCA Treasurer
